  • Authentic Ayahuasca Medicine: Prepared by the Shipibo Maestros in Peru, honoring traditional Amazonian practices.
  • Experienced Guidance: The ceremony is guided in the traditional Shipibo Amazonian way with Icaros and compassionate support before, during, and after the ceremony.
  • Coaching Session to help you prepare for your Ceremonies

  • Medicinal Tools: Rapé, Sananga, and Mapacho medicines to support the experience.
  • Comfortable Arrangements: Mattresses, blankets, pillows, buckets, and toilet paper are provided for your comfort.
  • Post-Ceremony Rest: After the ceremony, you are welcome to stay and sleep in the maloka (medicine space) for as long as you wish.
  • Grounding Refreshments: Herbal tea and breakfast refreshments are provided the morning after the ceremony.

Twice a year, they host retreats in Costa Rica with Shipibo maestros and offer private Ayahuasca and Kambo ceremonies year-round. Ayahuasca Contraindications

Ayahuasca is not safe for everyone, and your safety is our top priority. Please respect the following guidelines to determine if Ayahuasca is suitable for you:

1. Medications:
– If you are taking antidepressants, benzodiazepines, sleeping pills, or other medications, Ayahuasca is not safe unless you discontinue these medications at least 14 days before the ceremony.
– Combining Ayahuasca with these substances is extremely dangerous and can even be lethal.

2. Recreational Drugs 
– Using recreational drugs in combination with Ayahuasca poses severe risks and can also be lethal. Abstain completely 14 days before the ceremony.

3. Medical Conditions:
– Ayahuasca is not recommended for individuals with severe heart conditions, extreme high blood pressure, or mental health disorders such as schizophrenia or dementia.

4. Pregnancy:
– Pregnant women should avoid Ayahuasca for their safety and the safety of the baby.

Ceremony Location

Our Ceremonies unfold in the heart of Playa Grande de Cahuita, Costa Rica. Surrounded by lush jungle, our retreat is both tranquil and easy to access. We are just 3-4 kilometers from the village center of Cahuita. Follow the dirt road running parallel to the beach and look for our sign along the way—it will lead you straight to us.

Travel Information

Transportation is not included in the ceremony, so participants must arrange their own travel to the retreat location.

We recommend flying into SJO Airport in San José, Costa Rica, at least one day before the ceremony begins. For your journey to Cahuita (Inner Flight), you can choose between the comfortable Caribe Shuttle or the more budget-friendly Mepe Bus.

The team at Inner Flight create a unique, inclusive, and loving environment for participants that allows everyone to connect and grow. I’ve been to two of their retreats and each time has brought tremendous growth. The time they take with each participant to help them review and discuss their experience is a key part of why I come back. They explain the importance of integration and honoring the medicine, allowing participants to continue their journey once they leave. Their online community keeps us all connected and continuing to grow. They are a truly special group of people!

I cannot say enough about Inner Flight Retreat’s. Its founders Robbe and Alexandra are two of the most special people I have ever met, you can feel the honor they show the medicine and you in the same space. Their integrity is beyond words. All the facilitators they work with are trained, and continue their education with the Shipibo-Konibo maestro‘s.Even before I actually met them in person, the loving, attentive energy they show is present in every interaction. They creat such a loving safe space that makes doing the deep soul work very comfortable. The guidance through the process is overflowing with kindness.I have been sitting with medicine for many years now, some with other factors but mostly on my own in the old ways. I knew there were things I needed help with and it required a very special group. I found them all here at inner flight. I was able to finally unpack some very heavy trauma and grief that had eluded me for a long time. The healing in my soul is at a much deeper level than I even know it could be. I have found my medicine family.If you’re looking for a safe space to go deep or are just curious about medicine healing this is the only place I can recommend. All the others I have tried always had something missing. It’s hard to say what it was. Here at inner flight there is nothing missing in the healing. They provide you the space and tools to go into areas you didn’t even know you needed to.The healing and guidance doesn’t end when the retreat is over. They have created a community space with regular interaction to help with integration. This in my opinion is the biggest part the other places don’t have. At inner flight you are brought into the circle for life if you choose for continued guidance.

I felt so safe and supported during my first journey with plant medicine. The facilitators and Maestros are very knowledgeable and highly skilled in the amazing work that they do. The amount of love and care provided has me filled with an abundance of gratitude. Set and setting really is important! The jungle environment is absolutely spectacular and really helped to make the experience even more beautiful. I also love that the ocean is walking distance! The rooms were nice and comfortable, and meals wholesome and delicious. Overall, everything was incredible. I highly recommended Inner Flight Retreat to anyone looking for a wonderful and magical experience 💚

I attended the October 2024 week long retreat. Sandra, Robbie, and their team were top notch. It was my first time sitting with Aya, I was very nervous and scared. The team filled the space with so much love that it felt so safe and familiar. I truly felt like acquired a family. Many people that I attended I still talk to and will probably always. I look forward to seeing them all in the near future. I cannot recommend them enough if you hear your calling. It was a beautiful experience that I will continue to learn from for years to come. My experience at Inner Flight Retreat was incredible! I was recommended to contact Alexandra, but wasn't planning on doing an ayahuasca retreat. A play of circumstances led me to stay for a week and participate to the full experience! The ayahuasca journey is not an easy one, and I was glad to be surrounded by the care, expertise, support and kindness of Alexandra, who is such an angel, and her team.The property is by the beach and I enjoyed long walks, swim in the ocean, family style meals, painting and pottery, and sharing this transformative experience with amazing people.

Words cannot describe the gratitude I have for Sandra and Robbie and the work they do. I signed up for the Inner Flight Retreat in October 2023, and this experience has changed my life. Not only did I gain so much clarity, but I experienced a deep sense of peace and love within myself for the first time in many years. The support provided by the team throughout and after the retreat is also incredible. I felt very safe and heard. I also connected with so many beautiful souls, many of which I am still very close friends with. I continue to this day working with Sandra for readings, and I can really recommend her for anyone seeking some guidance and clarity.
