Alexandra and Roberto Tentiu, experienced healers trained in the Shipibo tradition, lead private retreats and ceremonies year-round. With years of expertise and compassion, they create a safe and transformative space for your healing journey. - What kind of retreats do you offer?
We offer two types of retreats:
- Shipibo Retreats: Guided by Shipibo healers Maestro Francisco and Maestra Tessy, these exclusive retreats host up to 15 participants and take place twice a year in a serene resort.
- Private Retreats: Led by Alexandra and Roberto Tentiu, these intimate retreats for 1–2 participants are held in a beachfront house with a dedicated ceremony space and are available almost year-round.
- Do you offer Kambo or Ayahuasca ceremonies separately?
Yes, we offer Kambo and Ayahuasca ceremonies independently of retreats. Contact us for availability and scheduling. - Is prior experience with plant medicine required?
No, both beginners and experienced participants are welcome. We provide preparation guidance and personalized care to support you at every level of your journey.
Requirements to Enter Costa Rica
1. What are the requirements to enter Costa Rica?
To enter Costa Rica, you need:
- A valid passport.
- Proof of intent to exit the country before your visa or entry stamp expires (usually within 90 days).
- A return flight ticket to your country of origin.
We recommend carrying a photocopy or a picture of your passport with the entry stamp at all times during your stay.
2. How will I get to the retreat from the airport?
For our Shipibo retreats, we’ve made the journey stress-free! Once you book your flight, we’ll arrange a shuttle to pick you up from a designated location near Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) and bring you directly to our retreat, about four hours away.
Guests are responsible for arranging their own transportation for private retreats or one-night ceremonies. We highly recommend using Caribe Shuttle, a reliable service that will make your journey smooth and easy. Let us know if you need any assistance with transportation details!
3. What should I expect upon arrival at the retreat?

What happens during an Ayahuasca Ceremony?
During the ceremony, you drink a sacred brew made from the Ayahuasca vine and Chacruna leaf. The medicine performs an energetic “surgery,” cleansing your body, mind, and spirit while facilitating deep emotional healing and spiritual insights. Ayahuasca ceremonies typically last through the night into the early morning, including preparation. The experience flows in waves, rising and settling, and each journey is unique to the individual and the ceremony. A single serving may sustain your connection throughout the night, or you may feel called to take more medicine to deepen your journey. The ceremony adapts to meet your exact needs at that moment.What should I avoid before an Ayahuasca Ceremony?

Kambo uses traditional Amazonian medicine derived from the secretion of the Giant Monkey Tree Frog.
